Lest We Forget – ANZAC Day 2013 Tweed Heads

It was such a beautiful day for the 2013 ANZAC day Ceremony…. So proud to be an Aussie and so very grateful for the sacrifice made by so many brave men and women in our Armed Forces.

Here’s my two beautiful kids taking part in the ANZAC Day 2013 parade.

April and Luke Anzac Day Parade

April is holding the pink water bottle, Luke is wearing his thongs, a real Aussie boy.

A lot of the local schools take part in the traditional ANZAC day parade each year. It’s a very proud moment for all of the community to remember the bravery and sacrifice of times past and to keep this very important tradition alive through our younger generations.

  1. Way to go and great to see! I had the please of watching my second youngest daughter who is in the RAAF as one of the Catafalque Party at the UQ ceremony on Wednesday. And my second eldest daughter is in the Navy. Makes you proud, huh?!

    • Hi Kencas, thanks for your comment, although I have never served in our Armed forces I have relatives who have and are serving, my cousin is also in the RAAF, who I respect heartily. I see from a not too distant perspective of the sacrifices they make, time away from family for one thing, and watching my kids take part in such an important tradition makes me very, very proud.
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts.
      All the best.
