Ok, so the next AC/DC album in my collection is the International Version of Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap.

My particular copy must be the U.S. version because on the inside cover it says it was originally released on March 23 1981, the first release of the International version was in 1976 according to this Wikipedia article.

Here is a playlist I tried to put together from videos I found on YouTube… but for some reason half of them won’t play inside a playlist? To see all of the videos I found for this album scroll down and watch each one individually. Continue reading

The International version of High Voltage by AC/DC was their third studio album and was the bands first internationally released album. It was released on the 28th of September 1976.

I personally think this album, along with T.N.T. are so incredibly good, I find it hard to believe these guys nailed it so early in their careers with most of the tracks on these albums becoming all time Rock classics, such as, It’s a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock ‘n’ Roll), Rock ‘n’ Roll Singer, Live Wire, T.N.T. and High Voltage.

This version of High Voltage went platinum 3 times and has sold more than three million units in the United States alone. Which is not bad for an album that was considered an all time low for rock music by Rolling Stone magazine’s Billy Altman.

Still with the same band members as T.N.T. including… Continue reading

T.N.T. by AC/DC

Late last year I started listening to one of my very earliest Rock influences all over again, AC/DC, so I decided I would start doing some short review posts of their albums.

Initially I wanted to start off with their very first album, which is the Australian version of High Voltage released in 1975, but unfortunately getting my hands on a copy of the album is proving to be quite difficult.

So I thought while I was waiting to get my copy, which I might have to borrow off my brother to do the review post, I would start with the second album T.N.T.

T.N.T. was released in December 1975 with the following band members…

  • Bon Scott – lead vocals, bagpipes on “It’s a Long Way to the Top”
  • Angus Young – lead guitar, backing vocals on “T.N.T.”
  • Malcolm Young – rhythm guitar, backing vocals
  • Mark Evans – bass guitar, backing vocals
  • Phil Rudd – drums, percussion

Below is a video Playlist that I put together of the album. The songs on the album and in the playlist below are…

  1. It’s a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock ‘n’ Roll)
  2. Rock ‘n’ Roll Singer
  3. The Jack
  4. Live Wire
  5. T.N.T.
  6. Rocker
  7. Can I Sit Next to You Girl
  8. High Voltage
  9. School Days (Chuck Berry)

I tried to get the best videos I could find, with the band playing live with Bon. When I couldn’t find any live footage I tried to pick the best slideshows with photos of AD/DC’s early days with Bon Scott. Continue reading
